This is it. The last day. This afternoon I embark on a 35 hour journey from here to Milwaukee. I can feel the scratch of sickness creeping at the back of my throat… hoping that I can avoid any major illness until I can collapse at home.

Fiery diarrhea just hit. Also hoping this clears up before I began my extended travel day.

Sam and Avi left yesterday morning and I read until 1 when Sahil, Marina, Aryan and I left for a Newari style lunch. The service was slow, and we ended up leaving the restaurant around 6. We ate spicy buffalo meat, lungs, marrow, stomach, and intestines. I was particularly fond of the gelatinous marrow. In the evening I gave Louise a call and played Sahil in chess. I had a huge lead, made a stupid mistake, and blew it in the 4th quarter. I was kicking myself all night.

During the meal Aryan explained that in Nepali you can say that “you got a wallet full of elephants” a la “I got a wallet full of benjamins” due the elephants prime location on the 1000 rupee bill.
